  1. Bugatti Bolide
Bugatti Bolide worlds fastest car

Bugatti’s supercar Bolide was first launched in 2020 as a concept car generating power of 1850 hp and 1850 Nm. However, the production model will come with a much more restricted output of 1578 hp from the quad-turbocharged W-16 engine. Built specifically for the racetrack, Bolide’s engine is optimised for one purpose only – Speed. Bugatti has announced its plan to build only a total of 40 units of this model. Bolide’s design concept is based on the idea of lightweight construction and a rebellious, raw driving experience. The intake and exhaust systems in the Bolide have been de-throttled and 4 new turbochargers give a power and pressure boost at high speeds. The top speed has been recorded in the concept car at 500 kmph and the time taken to accelerate to 100 kmph is 2.1 seconds. The finished car is expected to weigh around 1450 kg using titanium and carbon fibre components for a reduction in the overall weight. The deliveries will start in 2024 with the cost determined at Rs 35.87 Cr (47 million US dollars) for now.

  1. Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+
Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ fastest cars

Introduced in 2019, this hyper sports car was the first to cross the 300-mile mark at that time. The Chiron Super Sport 300+ was developed by the French carmaker to one-up the standard Bugatti Chiron which is already at the top of the list of the fastest cars in the world. The standard Chiron has a top speed of 261 mph which the modified Super Sport 300+ overtook by its top speed of 490.48 kmph (304.7 mph). It runs on the 1,580 hp producing quad-turbocharged W16 engine nicknamed by Bugatti as “Thor” which also powers the Centodieci.

Bugatti has extended the body of Super Sport 300+ to streamline it aerodynamically. The Longtail adds an extra 25 cm, the purpose of which is to decrease the aerodynamic stall by 40 per cent. With this reduced drag and resistance, the top speed and performance have increased by leaps and bounds from the previous model. Production units have been limited to only 30 vehicles in total and priced at Rs 29.19 Cr (3.82 Million US dollars).
